I could move yes I could crawl
Until the day I took a fall
Now after that I was not happy
Then I met a girl named Matty
She was something I could ponder
Since the days had grown much longer
She was laughing I was crying
Then I knew that we had found it
No one else could be around us

We would play we d drink and shout
Late at night we'd run about
To see the magic midnight dances
Of the girl who look her chances
To be naked right before them
Moving quickly not to bore them
She was pleasing some say teasing
I was laughing she was crying
Then I knew that we had lost it
Must have had a holy pocket

I was alone I thought of Matty
How she used to make me happy
She would tell me I was crazy
Sometimes slow and always lazy
Now I sit I never see her
Ever staring cold and senseless
I would listen as she told me
You are old much loo ugly
I was leaving when I saw her
Turned lo speak then I shot her

Now my life is slowly sinking
Ever thinking always drinking
Minutes hours days weeks
I had no time for food or sleep
In my mind I was remembering
Someone said are you pretending
I said no and turned to speak
I woke alone upon the street
Now I know what lay before me
Many more of these old doorways.
